My dear Father, Mother + Carrie.
Well dears I guess I will have to start off as per usual. Murray + I are both feeling fine and no sign of the mumps.
There has not been anything special happening here since my last letter and believe me dears this is the hardest place to write from that I ever experience.
I have not received any Canadian mail for about 2 weeks now and I am certainly anxious to learn how things are progressing.
Fred came down to see me yesterday and he is looking fine. This is the first time I have seen him since my hospital experience he brought me down some cigarettes and cigars and the cigars sure tasted good. Do you remember Rod Erskine? He is with the battery and is also here in this camp.
I will certainly be glad when this quarantine is over I have been working nearly as hard in here as I would have had I been out and no recreation at all. We spend most of our spare time playing foot-ball and that is sure some game to get your shins kicked.
The papers at present are very interesting and I hope they keep up the good work to a speedy finish “that is my sole ambition” now peace then home.
This is just a note I am sending a paper to dad I hope he got the others all right.
Remember me to all.
Your loving son + brother
Bob
