Dear Mother Father + Carrie

Well dear I’ll bet you won’t be showing this letter around as there is not going to be much description about it I am going to send my diary home.

I am on machine gun work and we are certainly rushing it through. I do not know whether I will be here for Christmas or not as we are sending drafts about every week now. Charlie Penny leaves on one to-morrow.

It does not bother me so much now. The thought of going and I will really be glad to get out of here.

I received your letters and suppose dad has arrived with his deer. I do not think you are taking my advice dears about too much work as that week you mentioned in your last letter was a bumper.

I am going up to London again this weekend and hope to see Murray there but do not know for sure whether he is going of not. He is Instructing Musketry and I have not seen or heard from him since last Sunday.

I had my pictures + taken and I think I will send them around for Christmas presents as anything worth while is almost impossible to get the stores in London are all closed when we get there sat afternoon so it is pretty hard getting things and thought pictures would be appreciated as much as anything.

I got the dandiest leather pocket book from Annabelle yesterday + think I will send it home until I get back because it is certainly too good for this life.

Well dears I have not got very much to say. To-night I am feeling fine and weight pretty nearly 170. I hope and pray you are all well and pray that it will not be very long before we are all together again. Remember me to all.

               Your loving son + bro

                              Bob
