My darling Mother, Father + Sister

Well dears here it is another Sunday and I am still here although I am not much of an invalid now. Since last Monday I have been rather busy around here. My eye test came back on Monday so since then I have been having them treated. At 9 AM I go down and have my wound dressed and by the way it is nearly healed now and I think this week will about finish it. At 10 AM I have my eyes bathed, at 11 AM I do R.G. which is a slight form of P.T. At 12:30 Dinner “some dinner” at 1:30 Parade until 2 PM, at 3:45 have my eyes bathed again and at 8:45 I have some sort of ointment put in them so you see dears my time is pretty well taken up.

There has not been very much Canadian mail in this last week. I had one letter from Annabel and she is some girl. I also had a parcel from Teddy Day, but you know about that as it looked like your writing on it.

I was certainly sorry I left Birmingham when I did as I met Mrs. Pickrell and two of her daughters out at Bearwood. They were certainly good to me and if everything goes as I expect I will be spending a few days in B’ham on sick leave, which I expect to get within the next few weeks, I also intend to call on Capt. Butler, I am sorry I lost that address in upper tooting as I could easily go there from here.

The war news lately have been very encouraging but I am afraid our little corps has been getting a bad cutting up since August, and I was certainly lucky to get out of it when I did.

To-day is what I would call a Blue Sunday. Rain etc. this is sure an awful country for rain and if when I get home and anyone mentions dear old England look out for rocks.

Well dears guess I will ring off now as its time to have my eyes bathed.

                              Your loving son + brother,

                                             Bob
