Dear Mother Dad + Sis

Received your letter to-day also encl. from Dad and I wish I could give you a bear hug + kiss but never mind dears we’ll take a whole day off to practice those hugs some day + I hope soon.

I am glad you rec’d some letters from me. Won’t it be jake when we won’t need these darn letters but until then believe me they are the only thing.

I do not expect to be lonesome very long now over where we are going there are lots of friends waiting for us, they are such close friends that they crawl inside your under clothing and I hear that at times you feel like giving them a punch in the eye.

I am glad they have persuaded you to take a rest if anyone needs a rest you do and when I go back dad’s got to go to bed for three weeks. But I think if I ever have a pillow, instead of a kit bag to rest my weary head up on, I’ll never get up.

Well dears my course is not going to do e much good after all. But I hear that in France Pte’s have the healthiest jobs + me for the healthy spots.

Do you remember Stammers, he has been awarded the military medal + old Jim Barnard walked in us to-night just as if he had never been away.

Well dears there is not much more I can say. We are all ready waiting but when we go is not decided yet. In the course of a couple of days.,

Remember me to all. Your loving Son + Bro
