My dear Mother, Father + Carrie

This is just a note to-day dears to let you know I am feeling fine although believe me I have had my share of duties last week and it is starting right off again this week.

Last Tuesday I had charge of the divisional headquarters guard coming off at 6:30 AM Wed. morning. On Wed. night I had a down town pickett. A fight started about 10 PM and instead of being finished by 10:30 it was nearly 1 AM when we got back. It was not a very serious scrap. We put a few in the clinque and that straightened things up.

At 8:30 AM Thursday morning I took over the Thursley guard and came off at 8:30 AM Friday went on the same one again at 8:30 AM Sat and came off this morning. I have already bean warned that I am battalion orderly corporal to-morrow.

I have not had any mail now for nearly a month but hear that there was some Canadian mail over at the post office now.

Well dears I guess I will have to vamoose. Our blankets should have come in from Thursley by transport and I haven’t seen them yet so its up to me to get some for the boys some place.

Hope everything is going along good and everybody well.

               Your loving son + brother

                              Bob
